How to Take Care of Your Breasts?

If femininity had only one symbol, it would very likely be the breasts. The bust is perceived as its projection and as a representation of self-image. The most common concern, breast ptosis (sagging of the breasts), is also the one that can be addressed naturally and daily: massages, masks, and targeted exercises help firm the skin and slow this sagging.

How to Care for Your Décolletage?

Paradoxically, few women feel satisfied with their breasts. They are either too small or too large. They don't have the right shape... What's more, they change over time.

Women's Relationship with Their Breasts

For women, it's often difficult to accept this feature so specific to their appearance. The bust is not only a sign of maturity but also an asset of allure. The common dissatisfaction women feel about their breasts comes from the fact that we are not born with a bust — we develop it. For a very long time, it remains, for us, only a projection. As the children we once were, breasts point toward the women we will become. That's why the role of mothers is essential in the bonds we form with this part of the body. The way our mothers look at us is crucial. It helps put us at ease or, on the contrary, makes us feel a certain discomfort, even shame. The attention that breasts draw from mothers, friends, and men is beyond our control. And either it recalls our eroticization, or it points to our motherhood and the role of breastfeeding.

The Transformations of the Breasts

Causes of Changes in Breast Appearance

Very often, the appearance of the breast changes due to hormonal disorders, weight loss or gain, illness, poor bra choices, pregnancy and breastfeeding, or simply the effect of gravity.

Areas Affected by the Transformations

These changes affect different areas of the breast, which is made up of layers of muscle, fat, connective tissue, and gland. The transformations occur when one of the breast's components is affected.

Breast Ptosis: Sagging of the Bust

The most common issue, and the one that can be addressed naturally and daily, is breast ptosis, more commonly known as sagging of the bust.

Appearance and Causes of Sagging

As its name suggests, this is a transformation of the breast in terms of shape and volume, giving the bust an unflattering appearance, as it becomes soft and drooping. This sagging usually occurs when the breast loses its muscle tone and skin firmness, as well as its original fat content, following an intense diet, a period of breastfeeding, or menopause.

Prevention and Natural Methods

It is, however, possible to prevent this sagging with a preventive treatment carried out during the phase in question. Otherwise, a few daily natural methods can help reduce this sagging, improve skin elasticity, and firm it.

Exercises to Tone the Breasts

To improve the appearance of the breast, it is highly recommended to do exercises that tone the muscle. In this case, you need to target and work the breast tissue and pectoral muscles in order to shape it.

Benefits of Massages and Masks

Massages and masks will also be very beneficial and will, in turn, help firm the skin. For optimal results, we recommend starting your treatment with a bust scrub. This should be done the first time and repeated every four to five applications.

Massage Techniques and Using Ice Cubes

After exfoliating, you can begin your massage with upward circular movements around the breast, avoiding the areola. Add pinching movements at the pectoral muscles and light fingertip tapping over the gland to draw blood flow that will better irrigate the breast and absorb the active ingredients of the oil you're using. Continue the massage until the oil is fully absorbed.

Applying Ice Cubes and Masks

  • Once the massage is finished, you can make circular movements with ice cubes for one minute — no more, to avoid causing numbness
  • Wipe off the water from the ice cube, apply a mask, and wrap your torso in cling film. While the mask sets, lie down for 15 minutes
  • Remove with lukewarm water and immediately put on a well-fitted bra.

Recipes for Concoctions to Use During Your Treatment

For the Massage

  • Massaging your breasts with olive oil is an excellent technique for firming sagging breasts. Olive oil is a rich source of antioxidants and fatty acids that can reverse damage caused by free radicals and help prevent breast sagging. It will also help improve skin tone and texture.
  • Put a little olive oil on your palms and rub them together to generate warmth.
  • Rub your palms over your breasts in an upward motion.
  • Massage gently for about 15 minutes to increase blood circulation and stimulate cell repair.
  • Another natural ingredient for firming the breasts is shea butter. It's an excellent source of vitamin E, which tightens the skin to give your breasts a firmer appearance. It also helps prevent cellular damage caused by free radicals.
  • Rub a little shea butter onto your breasts.
  • Massage in an upward, circular motion for 20 minutes.
  • Do this treatment 3 or 4 times a week to see visible results.

Massage and Setting Time

In Ayurveda, fenugreek is often used to firm sagging breasts. It contains vitamins and antioxidants that fight damage from free radicals and help lift, firm, and smooth the skin around the bust.

  • Mix 1/4 cup of fenugreek powder with enough water to form a thick paste.
  • Massage this paste onto your breasts and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water.
  • Follow this remedy once or twice a week.

You can also prepare a breast mask with 1/2 cup of organic yogurt, 10 drops of fenugreek oil, vitamin E oil, and 1 egg white.

  • Blend the ingredients until you get a smooth paste.
  • Apply the paste to your breasts and rub gently.
  • Leave it on for about 30 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
  • Use this mask once a week.

Pomegranate is considered a wonderful anti-aging ingredient and can help prevent breast sagging. Pomegranate seed oil is rich in phytonutrients that can make breasts firmer.

  • Make a paste with pomegranate peels and warm mustard oil.
  • Use it to massage your breasts with a circular motion for 5 to 10 minutes a day before going to bed.

You can also use pomegranate seed oil to massage your breasts 2 or 3 times a day.

Another option is to mix 4 teaspoons of neem oil with 1 teaspoon of dried pomegranate peel powder. Heat this mixture for a few minutes. Let it cool, then use it to massage your breasts twice a day for several weeks.

Aloe vera has natural skin-tightening properties that can help get rid of sagging breasts. The antioxidants in aloe vera help prevent damage caused by free radicals and help keep breasts firm.

  • Apply aloe vera gel to your breasts and massage gently with a circular motion for 10 minutes.
  • Leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
  • Repeat this process 4 or 5 times a week for effective results.

The Mask

Another excellent remedy for lifting the breasts is a mask made with cucumber and egg yolk. Cucumber has natural skin-toning properties, and egg yolk has high levels of protein and vitamins that can help treat breast sagging.

  • Blend 1 small cucumber in a blender.
  • Add and blend in 1 egg yolk and 1 teaspoon of butter or cream to make a paste.
  • Apply it to your breasts and leave it on for about 30 minutes.
  • Rinse thoroughly with cold water.
  • Use this mask once a week to strengthen breast tissue.

Egg white is also beneficial against breast sagging due to its astringent properties, and it helps nourish the skin. The hydroelectric lipids present in egg white help lift the skin around your breasts.

  • Beat 1 egg white until you get a foamy texture.
  • Apply to your breasts and leave on for 30 minutes.
  • Wash with cucumber juice or onion juice, then with cold water.

You can also prepare a breast mask by mixing 1 egg white with 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt and honey. Apply it to your breasts and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse with cold water.

Ghassoul

Ghassoul is a natural ingredient that firms the skin. It contains minerals such as silica, magnesium, iron, calcium, potassium, and sodium, which help firm and tighten sagging skin, including on the breasts.

  • Mix 2 tablespoons of ghassoul powder with enough water to make a smooth paste.
  • Apply this paste to your breasts and let it dry.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water.
  • Follow this treatment once a week.
