Having class is a way of being, of presenting yourself, of behaving and of expressing yourself. Your appearance is the first sketch of who you are.
To have class, avoid blindly following fashion
There's nothing wrong with loving fashion and buying clothes you like, but avoid trends and colors that don't flatter your figure.
Define yourself with a neat, elegant look. An excellent presentation is half the battle. Wear clothes and accessories that flatter you, and never wear something you're not comfortable in. You don't have to wear the most expensive clothes. It's better to choose a personalized, polished look.
Always be well dressed
If you have to attend a formal or semi-formal event, you'll need to know what to wear. It's better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed. It's not acceptable to show up at a formal event in jeans when you should be wearing a suit or a dress. Nor is it a good look to wear sneakers when you should be wearing dress shoes.
Make sure you know the dress code, and ask the host or friends attending the same event if you're not sure
Don't check your outfit in public, and don't do anything that would suggest you didn't make the effort to get ready properly before leaving home. Tuck in your shirt, put on mascara and lip balm, and do absolutely everything you need to do before heading out into the world. Avoid exposing your underwear. Women should avoid showing their bra straps, and men should avoid letting their boxers show.
Having class also means not wearing overly provocative clothing
Leave something to the imagination. When choosing your outfit, make sure you know the difference between sexy and vulgar. Ladies, don't let your neckline be the main attraction of your outfit. You can show a little skin, but don't show everything you have to offer, or you'll make a bad impression. Show your legs, but make sure your backside is covered. And above all, keep familiarity in check.
Hold yourself well. A big part of looking classy is having good posture
Keep your back straight, look straight ahead rather than down at the ground, and avoid hunching your back as much as possible. Don't cross your arms over your chest; keep them at your sides to bring your chest forward. Lifting your chin will make you look and feel more chic. And when you're seated, avoid slouching.
