Detox Tea Recipe

Want a detox drink that takes minutes? This one brings green tea, cinnamon, ginger and fresh lemon together in a warm cup with nothing out of balance, good at any hour of the day.

How to make detox tea

You need a green tea bag, a hint of cinnamon, a little ginger (fresh or ground) and the juice of a freshly squeezed lemon, for its vitamin C. Heat the water and leave the tea to infuse. Squeeze the lemon and pour the juice into the tea. One caution: the water must not be very hot, as the active compounds in lemon are said to break down above 60°C. Add the cinnamon and the ginger, then enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 green tea bag
  • A hint of cinnamon
  • A little ginger (fresh or ground)
  • The juice of 1 freshly squeezed lemon

Method

  1. Heat the water, keeping it below 60°C.
  2. Leave the green tea to infuse.
  3. Squeeze the lemon and pour the juice into the tea.
  4. Add the cinnamon and the ginger.
  5. Drink it warm.
