Developed exclusively by Nissan, e-POWER technology combines a combustion engine with an electric motor, offering a driving experience similar to that of electric vehicles, but without the need for charging. The combustion engine's only role is to power a battery, which in turn powers the electric motor, delivering responsive, efficient driving that is ideal for urban trips.
Electric Driving with No Charging
Mr. Lassaad Ben Ammar, general manager of the ADEV group, pointed out that the e-POWER system is perfect for those who make daily urban trips and who are considering switching to a fully electric vehicle in the future, but without the constraints of charging. This transitional technology offers an EV driving experience without requiring any electric charging.
The new Qashqai e-POWER retains the iconic features of the Qashqai range: striking design, refined interior, intuitive technology and dynamic handling. The e-POWER system includes a high-efficiency battery, a 3-cylinder 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine generating 158 hp, a generator, an inverter and a 116 kW electric motor, allowing up to a thousand kilometers to be covered on a single tank.
